Valentine’s Day – Perfect side gift Crave Cupcakes

Valentine’s Day – Perfect side gift Crave Cupcakes

As quoted by my wife on Facebook “Being married to a food blogger finally paid off…after a long day at work came home to free treats from Crave:)”  This is true, writing a food blog does have it’s perks once in awhile and Crave Cupcakes were generous enough to  offer us a sampler from their Valentine’s Menu.

Everyone knows Crave Cupcakes are absolutely delicious.  I’m sure I’m not the only one to say this but the cake portion of the cupcakes are by far hands down the best, moist and perfect.  We even had Crave Cupcakes as our wedding cake tower.

Today’s sampler included February’s Cupcake Craving of the Month, a chocolate cake filled with cherries and a hint of kirsch, topped with a dark chocolate ganache infused with a little more kirsch.  What was really nice was that the cake was not over powered with cherries, it just had the perfect amount.  Obviously it’s lots of chocolate so make sure you’re a chocolate lover to eat this one.  Tasted very similar to a black forest cake.  The second item was the Chocolate Caramel Tart, which is a dark chocolate tart filled with vanilla bean infused caramel topped with Valrohnoa Caramelia Milk chocolate ganache and topped with a pinch of sea salt.  The guys at the counter told me this was to die for and YUUUUPPPP  they were right,  I loved this.  I’m even drooling thinking about it right now.  It’s my type of dessert, I just love sea salt and caramel, what a great combination.

Below I’m posting their Valentine’s Day Menu, pre-orders are recommended and you can call them at 1-855-MY.CRAVE or email them at orders@cravecupcakes.ca.
