This is a great Japanese/sushi restaurant in the South part of Calgary just off of MacLeod Trail.   It is conveniently located across from Anderson C-Train station and Southcentre mall.  I have been visiting this restaurant for many years.

The service is excellent, the food quality is superb and the prices are very reasonable.  I tend to order the Sushi boat because it provides a variety of things I like, which also comes with rice, miso soup and salad.  I’ll also order my standard things, like special scallop and a few pieces of extra salmon or tuna nigri.  Another favourite of mine at this place is the Chicken Katsu Curry Don.  They must have some of the best Japanese curry I’ve tasted anywhere, this is a must try.

I truly love this place and if you’re looking for a standard Japanese/sushi place without all the fancy rolls and different fusion cuisine this is the place to come.  You won’t be disappointed.

  1. I agree with everything you said. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Just visited there for the first time today. Having lived in Japan for several years, I was really impressed with the variety of Japanese cuisine offered other than sushi. Sushi is a small part of Japanese cuisine and it was nice to see them offer much more. Highly recommended.
