Ichi Rock [ra:ka]

My wife and I got a chance to check out Ichi Rock on a kid free night!  I was really craving some fresh shucked oysters.  I follow Ichi Rock on Instagram, they’re always promoting their oyster specials so why not, $2 an oyster, what a great deal.  They had 4 different kinds, which were all good, but a couple of them were my favourite, unfortunately I forgot the names of them already.

Ichi Rock’s concept is an Izakaya, which is a pub style Japanese place which serves good drinks, sake, and snacks (tapa’s).  The menu is fantastic, it has many choices whether you’re in the mood for sharing plates, appetizers, sushi, entrees, noodles, and more.  The service is very friendly, the place is up beat playing some cool tunes, and the place was busy with dine in, take out and delivery.  We tried some squid, salad, oysters, some delicious rolls, salmon nigiri, special scallop, and cajun mayo prawn sushi.  Everything was great, fresh, and didn’t disappoint.  I’m glad I found another great sushi joint in the city and look forward to going there again soon for some oyster heaven.
