Home Tasting Room – the missing review
Oops just realized I didn’t write up my review on this Stephen Avenue restaurant. Home Tasting Room seems to get a lot of talk around the foodie forums so when it came to The Big Taste, we decided to give it a try for lunch. They had a set menu for this event which was a mixed greens salad, chicken pot pie and for dessert a warm pretzel with warm apple cider.
Overall the flavours of the food were good, my step father said his chicken sandwich was very good, my wife’s shrimp salad was on the salty side, we did wish the pretzel would have been soft and moist but it was more on the chewy overcooked side, but if you dipped it in the apple cider it made it all good.
One day we would like to make it over there for supper and the regular menu to give a true review of this well talked about restaurant.
