This place would be my favourite BBQ place in Calgary.  Well I guess there aren’t that many in Calgary to choose from but this place is just as good as any I’ve had in the South.  They keep the menu rather simple, pull pork sandwich, beef brisket sandwich, manwich, ribs, sausage links, and a bunch of different sides.

I have a go to meal everytime, Manwich (pull pork and beef brisket, with a pickle), 2 or 3 ribs (a buck a rib) and a pecan tart.  My go to sauces are the Horseradish bbq sauce and the house sauce.  This is a massive sandwich of pure goodness heaping with succulent smokey meat.  The ribs are generally not to everyone’s liking, most people want fall off the bone ribs, these ones are tender but they are firmer to the touch, just how I like my ribs.  The smokiness of all the food is just right, not too smokey where all you can taste is smoke.  The highlight of my meal is when they have something pecan.  The pecan pie is outstanding and same with this nice flakey pecan tart, just the right amount of sweetness to end of the meal.

If you haven’t been yet, venture out to the different and off the beaten path location for the great taste of BBQ in Calgary.
