Grumans Catering and Delicatessen
Fuzzy and I have been meeting our friend Erwin pretty much every Friday for lunch visiting great lunch spots around the city. We were fortunate enough to visit Grumans recently. It’s a nice looking deli with plenty of tables and street parking. Located between Calgary Tourism and Sunterra on 11th Ave and McLeod Trail SE, opened 7 days a week 9am-3:30pm and closed on Holidays.
Today we started off with the Lox Plate (capers, red onions, bagel chips $7), nice tasty treat before our meal. Next up was the Chicken Matzo Ball Soup $6, first time for me, the matzo ball was pretty good with the soup, wish the soup was a tad hotter though, but wasn’t sure if that is how it’s suppose be served. For my main I had the Grumans Grilled Special (all beef salami, smoked meat, stuffed chicken, rye bread, mustard with fresh cut fries $13), I actually think about this sandwich quite often, it was delicious. Fuzzy had the Grumans Reuben (smoked meat, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, rye bread, russian dressing with fresh cut fries $13), he was quite impressed with his sandwich as well and there were no disappointments here.
I saw a Smoked Meat Poutine come out while I was there, this is definitely a Must Have next time I visit Grumans, it looked so good! Check out there menu here, Click Here.
