Day 4 Stampede Food – Hot Wisconsin Cheese
This is our favourite at the Calgary Stampede right now.
Battered deep fried cheese with dips, who wouldn’t want this. Well no matter what the cost I do have a weakness for this place, so yummy and so gooey. I normally order the Super Combo, which have all 3 types of cheese on a little platter, Mozza Fingers, Cheddar Nuggets and Jalapeno Cheddar (my favourite), really it’s worth it just to have it once a year. There are 3 different dips to choose from which is pizza sauce, ranch and jalapeno ranch (yumm).
The bonus part about this Cheese stand is that they have thier own seating next to this fine establishment, so go ahead you deserve some deep fried cheese today.
Any suggestions what we should eat tomorrow?
Oh wow! I went to the stampede grounds twice this year – and both times, I enjoyed the Jalapeno Cheddar order! I was recently at Superstore and looking at the frozen cheese sticks wondering if they would even come close to the ones at Hot Wisconsin Cheese. I talked myself out of getting them, as I’ll just order more next year while I’m on the grounds!
