OMG I need to facebook and tweet about this and can’t stop thinking about it Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Overall: 5/5 Additional Comments: Everything that can be made in house is Outstanding Service Very relaxing atmosphere Great attention to detail Ingredients are as local as possible Chef Connie De Sousa has been announced as a contestant on Top Chef Canada By now everyone has heard of Charcut Roast House. The restaurant has become famous for selling gourmet burgers out of the back alley for $5. Chef and part-owner Connie DeSousa has been confirmed as a contestant on Top Chef Canada and the restaurant has been named one of Canada’s Top 10 Best New Restaurants. So when we went for dinner on Tuesday night we weren’t disappointed.  We were amazed. The service from walking in the front door right until the end was excellent, I even watch other tables being served upon and it was all consistent.  Our waitress did a superb job of explaining each and everything we ate, she made sure our drinks were well tended to and was always there when we needed her.  The food was outstanding, you can tell the attention to detail they put into the food to ensure that the best of the best comes out of the kitchen every time. The atmosphere is very inviting, at first we thought, what are we suppose to wear, is it dressy, business casual, is it going to be stuffy?  They made this restaurant for Calgarians looking for a unique and great dining experience.  To sum it all up, we will be back! We started with the in-house made Chorizo Sausage that came with a roasted pepper and melted cheese and brioche buns We also ordered the Bone Marrow au Gratin. Escargot baked in bone marrow with cheese. And we also had the Charcut Board. A platter featuring four different in-house made sausages and cuts of meat. The Pig Head Mortadella, Spicy Coppa Sausage, Pork Croquettes, and Italian Sausage. Luckily there were four of us to tie into these delectable appetizers. For dinner we all ordered different entrees. There was the Spit Roasted Spring Creek Prime Rib. The Arugula & Tuna Conserva The Slow Roasted Heritage Chicken And the...

Yuck, 2. I’m eating it but won’t order again, 3. This is good, 4. This is really good worth recommending, 5. OMG I need to facebook and tweet about this and can’t stop thinking about it) Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Overall: 5/5 Additional Comments: Much better location than their old one, larger and great set up  Food is always fresh and hot  Additional buffet included and has many selections Friends that have been to many different Brazilian Barbecue’s, they say this stacks up to the competition, including ones in Brazil Impeccable service Easily one of my favourite restaurants Gaucho’s has to be one of the best places to eat in Calgary.  Today YYC’s Best Eats took out the Virgin Radio Morning show team 98.5fm, Marc, Dani and Fuzzy for lunch.  The food is outstanding and it’s everything a meat eater could ask for.  The food is perfectly seasoned and very tasty.  The different sauces are a great accompaniment to the food.  If you like hot sauce, they definitely have one of the best. If you’ve never been to a Brazilian BBQ before, the rodizio is something everyone should try.  They have the chefs coming around constantly with different swords of meat that looks amazing.  In my opinion the Picanha is out of this world, rump steak with simple sea salt on it.  They have many different meats consisting of beef, lamb, pork, and chicken that come around with all types of great flavours. There is an accompanying buffet with these meals, which include many different types of salads, hot dishes, with one of my favourites, rice and black beans.   One of the absolute bests of this restaurant is their Mandioca Frita, which is cassava wedges sprinkled with Grana Padno cheese, sea salt and oregano, add some hot sauce to this and you have a winning combination If you’re looking for the best drink in the house, you must get the Caipirinha, which is a hand muddled lime, blended with cachaca (a sweet sugarcane liqueur).  I could drink a hundred of these.  It’s sort of like a jacked up mojito. If you ever need anyone to go with you to Gaucho’s don’t hesitate to contact me or any of the Virgin Radio Morning show team, we’ll never say no to this...

OMG I need to facebook and tweet about this and can’t stop thinking about it) Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Overall: 5/5 Additional Comments: Just outside of downtown on 11th Ave SW Plenty of street parking, there are many Great steakhouse with many other non-beef options Great atmosphere for business, romantic dinners or gatherings Impeccable service Could be one of my favourite Steakhouse’s in Calgary   I’ve been to Vintage one other time for my birthday this year, I’ve always heard great things about this restaurant and I was definitely not disappointed.  This visit on Friday was for lunch, I looked at the menu online the night before just to get an idea of what I wanted.  I decided before I went, Crab Cakes, BLT Salad and a Steak Sandwich.  Unfortunately when I got there, they were out of Crab Cakes, good news is that you know it’s fresh. The ambiance is very nice, super clean and the staff all looked great.  My wife and I shared the BLT Salad which they split in two plates for us without asking and we both had the steak sandwich.  Really the food is 5/5 but I did knock a half point for the so-so fries.  I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant and even bought a few gift certificates for my friends for Christmas.  ***Hint – right now at Costco you can buy $100 of gift certificates for $79.99. What’s In Front Of Me: BLT Salad: 5/5 Iceberg lettuce, creamy peppercorn dressing, double smoked bacon, crumbled blue cheese, tomatoes Lettuce is fresh crisp and cool, dressing tastes great with the bacon and blue cheese Great combination of flavours and is a must have $12 Vintage Steak Sandwich: 5/5 7 oz Canadian Prime Striploin, fresh tomato and garlic mayo Mine was cooked a perfect Medium Rare to my liking.  I guess for most people it would be between Rare and Medium Rare Steak sat on top of a piece of bread with the garlic mayo spread on it and tomatoes.  Delicious! Side was fries (may try soup or salad next time) $21...
