Belmont Diner in Marda Loop

I love little breakfast joints, you know you’ll always get down to earth good meals. This was my first visit to Belmont Cafe, a foodie friend of mine, Ella (watch out for her upcoming food/cooking blog), said I should check this place out, so I headed down there with her. Before I went there, I took a quick peek at the website and noticed they are part of Galaxie Diner, Avenue Diner, Myhre’s Deli, and Chuckwagon Cafe (which I need to go to next). I’ve been to Galaxie with my daughter and loved it there. So simple yet so good.

Belmont is small like Galaxie and I went mid morning so it wasn’t hard to get in. I can imagine it would be hard to get into this place weekend mornings. They do cool little things for kids, like fun pancakes (see below). I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict on a croissant which was really good. Eggs poached perfect, leaving it runny enough for the dish topped with delicious hollandaise. Just a small little note: ALL YOU CAN EAT HASHBROWNS!
